The Comparative Study on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Compressed Biomethane Gas (CBG) Fueled in a Spark Ignition Engine

Compressed biomethane gas (CBG) is an interesting alternative fuel that can be used to solve fossil crisis problems. Nevertheless, it concerned about engine performance and exhaust emission. In additions, CBG produced from agricultural harvesting residues the food industry a good opportunity for utilizing biogas as vehicle fuel. The aims of this research are comparative analysis emission on compressed natural (CNG) fuelled in spark ignition emissions. has been modified operate with both gases under constant load (50% maximum load) speed (1500 - 3500 rpm). results show operated higher thermal efficiency lower nitrogen oxide (NO x ) hydrocarbon (HC) emissions compared CNG. Thus, substitute CNG engine. give useful information developed optimised compression impact demand automotive fuels future.
